Richard Bess represents both buyers and sellers in Middle Tennessee’s competitive residential real estate market, bringing a practice defined by sophisticated analysis and negotiation. His work is distinguished by a technical understanding of land use and value, an expertise developed over years of complex transactions that provides his clients with a rare depth of insight.

This dual perspective is supported by accreditations from the National Association of Realtors, including certifications as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) and a Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA). This training equips him with the specialized skills required to champion the distinct needs of each party, from strategic pricing and marketing for sellers to diligent representation for buyers. His background navigating deals involving conservation and energy contracts further sharpens his ability to assess property potential and guide clients through multifaceted negotiations.

A native of Tennessee, Mr. Bess’s professional work is rooted in a personal commitment to the region. He is a former president of Friends of Shelby, a non-profit organization focused on the development and stewardship of municipal parks. An avid outdoorsman, his connection to the local landscape deepens his understanding of the properties and communities he serves.

Mr. Bess holds an M.B.A. from the Jack Massey College of Business at Belmont University and is an active member of the Greater Nashville and Tennessee Associations of Realtors.
